We researched our users by asking them to complete a short questionnaire. We considered other methods but felt this was the best as our main concern was whether or not people would want to participate in the project.

The questionnaire was brief but we feel it covers all the relevant topics.

We also interviewed several more people but they did not wish for their information to be published.

Extreme User Profile
This was complied as being our stereotype user, produced from information sourced from the answers in the previous questionnaires.

It is this type of character we designed for as we now appeal to a broad range of people, yet emcompass the key elements which particularly entice the "stereotypes". This proved to be successful as the majority of our users consider themselves to be artistic and have an interest in being challenged and being creative.

Doing user research was a vital step in the creation of Imago Nova. It provided solid foundations regarding exactly what we wanted to acheive and ensured that with every step we took, we stopped to think about how this would benefit the user. This allowed us to consider and document our thoughts and continuously evelove them in our design process.
